Bugs New Dress

I'm Back!!!

Sewing is wonderful, it makes it so much more enjoyable when my mom brings her serger up for the week so I can use it.

I would have liked to get more photos of this dress however she was being a crazy child and running away.

My Three S's

So here goes with the S's

First one is Snuggling. I get to snuggle the cutest kids on a daily basis. Bugs is go good with Pan, just yesterday morning MLH and I were being lazy and we were listening to Bugs talk to her brother then when he started to scream she would match his pitch and scream back then you would hear him giggle. It made my heart sing with pride because she gets along and loves her brother so much. The other thing she does that I think is funny is she will put her little dolls in his crib and tell me that they are his girlfriends before she hops up and gets in the crib herself to snuggle him.

Second is Sewing I don't know what it is but I can not turn my brain off! I keep drawing and designing and sewing things, if you could see my house you can tell I have been doing little cleaning and more sewing, the thread pile on my floor was actually visible :) so far in the last few weeks I have designed and made multiple items for not only Bugs but Pan as well. I am trying to get photos on them wearing said items and I am crossing my fingers that the weather stays nice for a bit so I can take them out and photograph them soon. Bugs is loving the fact that I am sewing more and has actually drawn up some of her own dress designs to add to her pile of "I want mommy to sewing these for me"

Third would have to be the Sun. Since the weather FINALLY started to warm up again we have been trying to go on little adventures. We call them Adventures because Bug thinks it is more fun that way. yesterday we decided to have a family picnic up the canyon. it was beautiful up there, well weather wise, the trees are still looking as if they are having a hard time coming out of winter. The best part was being able to do this as a healthy family, healthy being a word I never thought I would take for granted and I know that in the future if we continue to stay healthy I will try my best to make the most of it.


Well there you go. My short list of S's I am sure I could have added a few more, but those are the ones i like the most.

Pan - 3 months

He smiles, has found his tougue, loves music and being sung to, hates to be put down, almost laughs, and makes super awesome squish faces. I kinda sorta love him, glad he is mine :)

I colored Bugs hair pink. I love it, and i think she does as well. she kept asking for blue or purple but i only had pink so this is the color we did.

For the month of March I had Pan participate in MUSTACHEMARCH which was fun for both me and I hope him. Bug sure got a kick out of it. I think he may be relieved that it is finally over.  What he doesn't know is that I am planning Superhero April. :)

Funny Bug

So far today I have been kicked out of the band, told I wasn't allowed in the show and have also been grounded.

Life sure is rough being a mom.

Well I guess I deserved it. I woke the baby up, knocked all the plastic eggs out of Bug's hands then gathered them up ran away and started throwing them at her. I think I would much rather be the kid today.

Easter

I've noticed that the last few years I haven't actually blogged about Easter, whether it was due to the fact that I just forgot to take photos, me being too lazy or maybe I just forgot to blog about it. There is a good chance that Facebook has absorbed all of the happens when I don't blog.  One of the things that I said I would do more of was take photos. So that I did:

 Obviously we aren't in our cute Easter Church clothes. Well by "WE" I mean Pan , MLH and I Bug has been dressed like this since Last night, (only joking I didn't let her sleep in the dress) My mom made this dress and Bug just loves it. She spins in it and curtsies it is really quite amusing to watch her. So back to our clothes. Well me having the excuse of just having a baby and also mot being able to wear dresses due to nursing I had pretty much NOTHING to wear from my closet. I really should have just worn PJ's to church. I had Pan dressed up to cute today from the stripped vest down to the argyle shoes he had on. I guess he had different plans because Lance hears him let out the BIGGEST TOOT EVER! sadly it wasn't a toot it was a massive blow out! Well there goes that outfit. he managed to poop on everything except the vest and his socks. I'd say that is pretty impressive. So needless to say no photos of that cuteness so we pretty much just got changed and headed out to MLH's parents house. There we ate good food, enjoyed watching Bug's  cousins run around and find eggs, play in some bowls of water and enjoy each others company. All in all it was a good day.

 Bug and Cousin L, they love play and also antagonize each other. That's what family is for right?!

What Pan did while everyone was outside having fun. this is a little bunny he got from Grandma C it is very snuggly and soft.

He reminds me of..

The other day while Bug was at school and Pan was in a relatively good mood I decided to snap a few photos of him. Call me crazy but this peticular face reminded me of my brother. not sure why considering I have only seen my brother at this age in photos since he is 2 some odd years older then me and he also Pan has brown eyes and my brother has an intense blue. So I thought I would share. Makes me happy to see my family members in my kids, I'm sure his looks will change in a week just like Bugs' did I can't wait to see what he looks like at Bugs age.

New Do.

The other Day I took Bug and also Pan to the Salon with me so I could get my hair done. normally it isn't ideal for me to take them but considering MLH wasn't home and I really needed to get this monstrosity fixed I braved it. The more I think about it I really wish I had done a before and after photo. Both Kids did AMAZING waiting out the 2.5 hours of me sitting in a chair gettin' all pretty. Then when all was said and done Bug says' ooooh Mum-ma you look like twilight.

My thinking:

Yeah, why do I look like a vampire? Do I need to eat something am I looking pale?

Her Thinking:

Oh I get it you think I look like Twilight Sparkle because I had my hair cut like this:

I really do love the way her mind looks and I also love my new hair cut, makes me happy. and Hey I get to look like a My Little Pony, total bonus in my book. :)

Pan - 2 months.

These last months sure have gone by fast. Pan is now 2 months and he had his 2 month check up today. And for us this also means he gets the first round of the dreaded shots!... dun dun dun. I think he did great only screamed for a minute or two before calming down. Boy did his face turn red though. It reminded me of a cartoon character when they get mad and starts turning red from the neck up. yep that was him

Pan weighs in at a healthy 12 lbs 12 oz and is 24 inches long. So he is pretty Average all around.  I was looking at Bug's old records and they had the same head size at this age the only difference was .2 of an inch. I love that he is getting so big! he smiles really easily, is super ticklish and has a good memory for when we makes sounds he associates it with something. For example if I make a certain sound and tickle his belly is a different noise/sound then what I do when I touch noses with him. The tickle his belly sound is funny because you can see him flexing when I get close.

So this month Is March and I guess the trend is called Mustache March, Which I had no clue until a few days in. One night Avi and I were being Silly and playing then randomly I thought it would be funny to put a mustache on Pan. Well one turned into another and then eyebrows then I noticed people talking about mustache march... blah blah blah now I have been putting a stache on him almost everyday and taking a photo. I have even gotten as nerdy as researching different types of mustaches so I can get different looks since there are 31 days this month and that is a lot of mustache pictures. So here are a few that I have done this month. All of these have been taken with my phone since it is way easier to do that then find the camera, plus my little point and shoot REALLY sucks.

That's about it! we are enjoying this lovely springesc weather and can't wait for it to stay for good. Although I wouldn't say no to a rainy day every once in a while.

I swear that is the amount of photos I have to go through on my external hard drive. OK it may be a song from RENT but shhhhh nobody knows that if I change the word from minutes to photos. :)

Yea I am in a weird nothing really makes sense so just go with it kind of mood. so please... just go with it.  so back to the photos I was going through and Organizing them along with adding more from my desk top because I got a very scary black screen with the words HARD DRIVE FAILURE IMMINENT  EKKKKK, OK I added the EKKKKK part but how scary is that?! now I am just wondering if it was some sort of grand scheme of MLH's to get me to organize something. Well that's giving him WAY to much credit.

Anyway this is what I found.

Just after they were born you can tell they have to totally different personalities! I mean who wouldn't want a warm bath :)

I can't wait to start comparing photos from different stages in life with these two. I already know that Pan is way bigger then Bug was. He is 8 weeks and can already fit into some of the 6-9 mth sleepers that at one time were hers. when it took her at least 5 months to get there. he is a big kid though really long and has long feet as well. Personally I think that is a good thing since he is a boy.

Well I still have Blessing photos to post of him in his cute outfit but until then here are a few fun ones I found of Bug while going through all those photos.

It's her birthday month I am allowed to go back and post cute things. :)

Bug turns 5!

 

 

How did my little girl get so big so suddenly?!

 

5 things about Bug is

 

1. She is super smart, is in preschool and is already reading!

2. when you ask her to do her fabulous face she will give you this look:

 

3. She has a VERY strong opinion about what she wants to wear. Somdays all I can do is shake my head and laugh.

 

4. Has a wild imagination and comes up with the most random things to act out or turns the simplest things like a piece of paper into an entire game.

 

5. She really is my favorite little girl, stubborn like her mama, big personality, can bite you when she is grumpy and can be the sweetest girl ever.

 

these are only a few reasons why I love this girl and she is amazing and will continue to be amazing.

 

Way Back Wednesday

Most people to throwback Thursdays however I am a day early and wanted to post this picture that I found of Bug from her 2year birthday party.

 

We were in a dark place so the photo quality is crap, I just love her face totally cracks me up. This was the same year that TimBurton's Alice in Wonderland came out and we took her to see it. She loved it and me being who I am had to make her an outfit to match.

 

Same day just didn't want her to get cake on her dress so we did an outfit change. I love her scrunched up nose face.
