Jeans and a Purse

So about 3 or so months ago i was noticing that my rear was getting a bigger larger, now before anyone says "whatever, you are so skinny" I just want to make clear that I am not complaining it was just an observation. So there I am walking around my house doing laundry and what not and I bend down to pick up a pile of laundry and "rrrrripppp" (I didn't toot, that was the sound of my pants splitting.)  I was so sad because these were one of the only pair that fit me. So I washed them and stuck them in the box under my bed with all the other jeans just waiting for the day i bring them out and make something out of them..

This little purse was made from those jeans for one of Bugs friends. Her name is Red and she had a birthday party a few days ago. Personally I think it turned out pretty cute.

one thing I like about kids purses made out of jean is the fact that they are very durable. 3 year old princesses can sure beat the crap out of things.

15 Minute Dress

Believe it or not this dress was only a half a yard of fabric and cost me about $2. Sometimes Buying pre-smocked fabric is the way to go.
I simply shortened the smocking by cutting out the middle strip of fabric (approx 6 inches plus 1 inch of the smocking) the piece that I cut out ended up being the sleeves. I think I might add a couple of straps just to finish it off. I can never tell what might work until she wears it.

One of these days I will actually take pictures as I am sewing but since I do my sewing in the middle of the night it rarely happens.

maybe next time

I want... from editing

This week was the first week I have been back from California. My house is a mess and I have more Laundry to do then the Duggars. (ok maybe not that much) Every night I relax by editing and watching netflix. Which I have been enjoying as of late because I have figured out what I actually what each photo should look like. for a few years now I was always editing with muted tons and soft finishes, I slowly realized that muted tones and soft finished just weren't who I was. I am a loud, obnoxious, colorful and vibrant person. mind you these are describing words from my loving husband.  So with that description and a goal in hand I set off to figure out what I wanted and I discovered what I was missing. My Family... Not just Husband and Bug but my brother and sisters along with there kids and of course my parents. being around that kids of atmosphere made me Shine and with that I can now express how I feel in the inside outwardly through the photos.

This is what I got.

Cheerful, Loud, Vibrant and Color..

It's Fun and I LOVE it.
