I was going through deleting photos from when I was a photographer tonight. I think I may have deleted approx 100, 000 of them or so. to say the least it actually freed up my external hard drive quite a bit. While cleaning out said hard drive I came across a few photos I had taken last year or so of some shoes I made. Which actually made me sad because I was wondering where my motivation for my craftiness had gone. granted I could say the same thing about blogging but I know where that went. :)
Not sure if I ended making a blog post about these before and it would take WAY to much effort to go and look . I thought they turned out pretty darn cute and I also love that I made a little sack to deliver them in. Wow I am full of myself tonight. EH oh well Someones gotta be proud of me right.

Tin Can Co-worker Gifts
Every year around Christmas I make hard tack candy. I'm sure I've said it once or twice before. Am I going to find those previous blog and refer back to them... um no. I'm just too lazy this morning. (Although I'm quite chatty considering this is the 3rd blog I have or will be publishing in less then 8 hours.)
Now that I'm looking at this I really should have taken more then just a few photos... eh oh well.
Last week sometime I was looking for an alternative box so to speak for Husband to take holiday treats to his co-workers. I found some plain white small Chinese food boxes from etsy and was so excited I bought them figuring they would be here WAY before I needed to fill them... As you can see from the photo above, that is NOT a Chinese food box. It is a can. A peach can to be specific. I followed this tutorial (click that -----> source) little more time consuming then other said boxes but sooooo worth it. The one thing I did differently from the tutorial was I used left over scrapbook paper and made a circle wording label to glue on the front. They have a print out that you can use.
I am hoping that today will be a productive one and I will try and get one final batch of HardTack candy done so I can have photos to post. (the other batches I made at night.)

Introducing.....
Gertie!!!
why Gertie you ask? Well, (deep breathe) I will give you a little insight as to how my brain works pretty much most of the time.
Gertie is Short for Girdle (although I'm spelling it differently) Girdle rhymes with Myrtle and Myrtle makes me think of Turtle and when I think of a turtle I think of Dana Carvey in Master of Diguise say's "turtle turtle"
Here's a clip.

Pink + Pink = Too Cute
Bug went to a Princess Tea Birthday Party today and this is what she took as her gift to the birthday girl. I really think I was more excited then she was well that is until I broke out the gumballs and all she said was "oh for me?" um.. yea, nice try kiddo.
I've been visiting crafty places lately and saw this unfinished wood box and thought, that would be a really cute jewelry box, So I modge podge a bit of princess paper all around and voila! And whats a jewelery box without a little jewelry? then I thought, Why put just everyday dress up jewelry when I can make a bubblegum necklace. It's pretty and delicious at the same time!
Gum + Ribbon + a bit of time = Necklace
Empty box + Scrapbook paper + Modge Podge = Little jewelry box.
And I've gotta say typing Jewelry has got to be one of the hardest words for me to type. and this post had like a billion jewelry words in it. Maybe if I were to get more jewelry from time to time then I would have an easier time typing it since I would blog about it.. huh? husband huh?

Get Well Wishes
If your husband keeps asking when you are heading home and he asks it more then once, He is either very forgetful or he is up to something. Lucky for me he was up to something. When I arrived back to my parents house after a LONG day at work (ha-ha right) I was welcomed home by these beautiful daisies. Gerberas are my favorite and he must like me a lot to have remembered that.
Thank you husband, you are wonderful and you made my day better just by letting me know you still love me.
