New Do.

The other Day I took Bug and also Pan to the Salon with me so I could get my hair done. normally it isn't ideal for me to take them but considering MLH wasn't home and I really needed to get this monstrosity fixed I braved it. The more I think about it I really wish I had done a before and after photo. Both Kids did AMAZING waiting out the 2.5 hours of me sitting in a chair gettin' all pretty. Then when all was said and done Bug says' ooooh Mum-ma you look like twilight.

My thinking:

Yeah, why do I look like a vampire? Do I need to eat something am I looking pale?

Her Thinking:

Oh I get it you think I look like Twilight Sparkle because I had my hair cut like this:

I really do love the way her mind looks and I also love my new hair cut, makes me happy. and Hey I get to look like a My Little Pony, total bonus in my book. :)

Something TOTALLY inappropriate

SOOOOOOO freaking funny though. I haven't been myself lately and i chalk it up to having a craptastic first part of the year. EH I'm over it now and I am pretty sure I am all healed up emotionally and physically.

I few weeks back and I don't even know how many a few it was but I noticed that TITANIC was going to be in the theatre again.. GASP! really? maybe I will go see it just for old times sake (And I am using that phrase loosely) Wait.... WHAT?! it's going to be in 3D. Nothing says good movie like watching people fall and freeze to death in 3D.  I really wish that was the inappropriate part. It's not it gets better. So MLH and I were talking about it over family dinner, as in an EVERYONE family dinner and we were laughing and calling it names and I honestly do not know who said Hey isn't there a booby scene? That's like 10 foot 3D booby.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! I really don't know why I still think this is funny but I do.

Oh the things she says:

Today Bug was a roll when it can to random sentences. Well I'm sure she had them well thought out to me they were random and hilarious.

B: My favorite color is princess, so what's my favorite color mommy?
A: I thought it was Pink
B: (tapping her foot) no it's Princess

She had some other ones that I really wish I would have written down, I have been trying to carry a notebook where ever I go just in case I get a thought or she says funny things but I forgot it today.. ugh

On our way home this song came on which I haven't heard in a while  The balck horse and the cherry tree by KT Tunstall I asked Bug if she liked it, she said The man sings good. I let her know that this was a girl singing and she thought about replied, "I don't like this song, she sounds like a man"


Tonight when she was heading upstairs to brush her teeth she stood in the hallway until one of us looked at her Hands on hips then started tapping her foot impatiently followed by "I'm waiting"

One more thing comes to mind, the past few weekends I have been sleeping on the floor in her room, mostly due to the fact that MLH snores so loudly that I can't possibly sleep. with that being said she asked me the other night to come sleep in her room and when I started snuggling her so says "no no you sleep on the floor"



I will never stop saying.. Silly Girl because she really is one.

S.WA.K

Today has been a bit of a blur. Got home from work around 7:15 and yes that would be AM, I started my oh so lovely new workout regime. Felt as if I was going to pass out so I layed onthe couch and the next thing I know a have a tiny monster wiggling in mext to me demanding I get her cereal. Well I guess demanding is a bit harsh more like " I am so really hungry right now, I need cereal and a shirt," Tell you what bug you go get a shirt and I will get you that cereal. Day progressed,blah blah blah haven't really been upstairs today to really check things out. So after dinner I head up to see what sort of cleaning I can do before I have to go to work tonight and I see this.

I made her little turban thing, although I think I should have used a different fabric but whatever, it's the first thing I decided to sewing since my lovely ER adventure. (baby steps)

chocolate counseling

I've decided not to take advice from anyone this year. It's much smarter to listen to the chocolate.

Tonight while at work the chocolate told me these pieces of advice

-Take time to laugh. It's the music of the soul.
-You worked hard - promise yourself a reward
-Do what feels right.
-You're allowed to do nothing
-Find your passion.

I ate other ones that didn't have good advice and I probably should have since I have a stomach ache right now.. yuck.

the things a Bug can say.

I really LOVE this little girl, and no it's not just cuz I'm her mother. Although that my be part of it. She genuinely make she smile and shocks me with every little thing she says.
She has a habit of crashing my bath time. The other day I was in the tub and she hops in and then tells me I'm done so I can get out now.
On a separate day I told  her that it was bath time and she said NO i don't smell then stomped down the stairs. Not 5 minutes later she came back up and said "I stink, I'll take that bath now."

and even though I have one more thing to say and yes is was her talking to me while she was in the bath tub once again. She was playing with some toy and asked me if what she was playing with was a mermaid and I said no I would call it a duck and she replied "precisely"    what 3 year old uses the word precisely.. I mean holy, My chin dropped on that one and when I looked at her she had a smug look on her face.

last thing I promise. yesterday morning when I got home for work this little turkey was on my side of the bed and I asked her to move over and she replied. go get your own bed... rude!

book slump and other things

well not really I just have this thing about reading books in the order that i pick them up from the library and right now the one that is at the top of my list to read isn't all that appealing to me at this very moment... WELL the last 2 weeks. WELL I don't know really.

and if you are curious about the wells I have been watching a bit to much Doctor Who Lately and David Tennant who plays the 10th doctor says it a lot. I just finished watching Season 4 episode 0 which really means it was a Christmas special and he finally met someone named Alonzo... Allons-y Alzono if you don't get it I'm not gunna explain it.

tethered

When out shopping I tether my child to me. For one she loves it and for two I get some really awesome looks when I go out.  

Once I had a older lady come up to me and tell me that I had a good thing going for me with that tether. I had fond memories of this exact tether/lease because when I was about Bugs age I walked off and got lost... in CANADA. yeah that freaked my parents out. so from then on out my mom tethered me to both her and my little sister so it wouldn't happen again. I'm guessing it didn't. =)

I don't feel bad or even guilty about putting my child on a lease. I know others would think differently and I don't care. I'd rather have my child close to me instead of running around being unattended, I know that isn't  everyone however those parents who can actually keep track of there children and have them listen to them every second they are in stores then good for them I would like that one day. For now I'll just rely on the lease.

I judge.

It's true, Everyone does it so don't get all high and mighty with me. how can you not when it;s sitting right there in front of you face taunting you? Oh those sill little things called donuts in those wondrous things called bakeries.  I base the deliciousness of a bakery on how good there maple bars are. It takes a certain type and just the right kind of maple bar to win me over. this is what I have found so far.

Least favorite = Harmons
Oh Harmons how could you let me down. you drew me in with all your wonderfully delicious cheese and slapped me when I tried your bakery items. maple bar is totally Bleck and as for the other desserts I give them a Meh.

Middle of the road = Smiths
Oh come on its not like I have gone around to every single place to get donuts these places are all close by. Smiths Maple bars tend to dry out reeeeeally fast, or at times they seem a bit greasy. ugh

a tad bit past middle of the road = Walmart
believe it or not they actually have pretty good donuts. now this is the one by my house, not to sure about the other ones.

I could die eating this donut it so freaking delicious = Dunford Bakery
Holy crap I can't talk enough about this place. they have go to be one of the greatest bakeries I have ever been to and also excited that they deliver to a local gas station next to my house. and they really sad thing is I know when they set out fresh donuts at night so if I ever wanted a freakishly delicious straight to my butt and arms snack I know when and where to go. =)


on a side note, you know you are sleep deprived when you start blogging about donuts at 4 am.

Shaun the Sheep plus Dr Who

Have you ever watched this show? I absolutely LOVE it! Bug and I were excited to see that there were new episodes on Netflix so yesterday we watched a few.

To back track just a bit, this is a show similar to Wallace and Gromit which is a British claymation series and also have a few movies  and Shaun who is a sheep was introduced during one of those episodes.

Ok so this little Shaun is very mischievous and also inquisitive. he run around the little farm he lives in doing goodness knows what. I one particular Episode the farmer was sending out invites to his costume/birthday party and between him and the dog they ended up getting ruined so Shaun's Solution was to dress alt he sheep up and party goers so the farmer wouldn't be sad.  they had a range of costumes from sheep.. (haha how original) to Dalek which is a Character from Dr. Who. I was laughing so hard when I say it And I kept trying to get Husband's attention about how funny a sheep dressed as a Dalek was... Um yea he didn't really care since he has never watched Dr Who. Shame on you Mister Lovely Husband =)

Charmed

I love the show Charmed. I'm sure I have blogged about it before. So when all 8 seasons became available on Netflix I was SUPER excited!! I'm sure that's a bit of an understatement. I have been watching it almost every night, and can I just say that I had no idea that I missed the ENTIRE 7th season. I know thats not a big deal, but I was so freaking excited that I was able to watch new shows ones I haven't even seen before! woohoo..

You woildn't think sleeping during the day would cause I problem with my everyday schedule...  HA! yea right. I have been trying a few differnet sleep methods all of which let me sleep during the day and some let me get housework in. My neighbors are Saints one nieghbor specifically would be Loo's mom she has been super wonderful this last week and Came and got Bug for a few hours each day so I could sleep, I don't know what I would do without her!.

On to a different subject (sorta) When I get home from work I am usually in the best mood I try and get at least a little something done around the house before both Husband and Bug wake up for the morning. Some Mornings I just force myself to sleep so I'm not too tired during the day. This particular morning was really fun. Bug can down just after Husband had gone to work and I asked her if we should make pancakes. Really I don't even have to wait for the answer because I know it's going to be yes. We did ours a bit differently today instead of making just regular pancakes we made Oatmeal chocolate chip. I thought that if I was letting her eat chocolate in the morning it might as well have something healthy in there as well. I also substituted the oil for Applesauce. and can I just tell ya. Those suckers tasted like oatmeal chocolate chips cookies! they were so yummy. I think I just might keep the recipe. well if I remember it.

I'm kinda excited for a few changes coming October 1st. For Once in my life I have actually followed through with a plan and haven't changed my mind about it, yet. Husband is On board kinda with the kitchen redo. I'm still trying to find a perfect shade of gray to redo my kitchen cabinets with. Or I just might get everything in there and decide not to do the cabinets. I have planned Art projects and Preschool projects for Bug to do everyday and we have a calendar to follow so we get everything completed.  and On top of those things I've had a great opportunity to be apart of a choir with other ladies in the ward and it has not only brought me new friends it has given me a chance to be apart of something other then just being.  Sadly I am unable to compete tomorrow in the dirty dash even though I was super excited I guess there were just other plans for me which I'm ok with.

and that about sums it up.

Sing, Dance, Laugh, Paint, Sand, Run, Play, Work and Sleep.. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. 

verdict...

Don't know whether to say stupid me or stupid feet. I have officially bruised and also sprained BOTH ankles and heels of each foot. Which makes me really sad because now I have to wait a little while before I can get back into running and even after that I have to take it easy. hopefully I will recover quickly. walking down stairs at a snails pace gets really old after the first dozen times.

Sneaky Bug

The other day Husband was going through letter cards with Bug, These cards have a word and picture on one side and just the word describing the picture on the other side. So if it's a photo of a car it will say car underneath.. and Car on the other side without a photo... etc.
Husband started off showing her the cards and spelling the words and going through each one. then he started flipping the cards over and just showing her the worded side. He held each card up and she would say the word with out even hesitation. He was so impressed he had me come over to watch. As I sat there watching Bug read words I realized that she could see the picture from behind the card because of the light shining from behind. So the little stinker was actually just looking at the picture and saying the words. She really makes me laugh as to how smart she is. silly girl
