Christmas Day

Christmas has come and gone and once again I forgot to get myself into one of the photos with my kids.

The kids had a great time opening presents and then later on visiting with their cousins and opening more presents.

Temple lights

We went Saturday of last week and it was a total mad house! Bugs  was having a hard time enjoying the lights at temple square since she is basically the height of everyone's Booty. At least we were able to go and walk around before it closed for the evening. it had taken us 45 mins to park and for that I remember why we started taking Trax in the first place. :) 

Everyone was happy that we got some hot chocolate and was able to warm up a bit after we bravely fought the crowd of light gazers. 

been thinking.

I hate thinking it hurts my brain and I tend to over think things... a lot.
Then there is the lack of sleep that doesn't involve a tiny toddler or a night terrored 5 year old.  Things I have been thinking about:
- I miss blogging and taking photos of my children that aren't just from my phone.
- With Bugs being in Kindergarten I feel like we traded play time for strict school schedules and places we need to be at a specific time.
- In all the years that MLH and I have been together we haven't had to "dress-up" for a holiday party and this year his new job is hosting a "SEMI-formal" and my first thought are what the heck does that mean? (ok so I had to clean it up a bit but you get the gist)
-  HOW  DO YOU ACCESSORIZE A DRESS!? it may not be a big to deal to some but I am totally at a loss. I have called, asked and beat to death this with family and friends heck even total strangers I have asked while in the store and I still can't come to an answer. Prob not the best thing considering the party is tonight :/  I will most likely be posting photos from the event.

- back to the phone photo, this is one thing that I will be able to change. I will be dusting off my camera and even toy with the idea of updating my stock lens. Since I sold almost everything 3 years ago when I stopped photographing weddings and families. I was so burnt out from taking photos that I just stopped. (my poor kids) So yesterday I started small and took a few photos while Pan was in the tub. It made me happy and relax just a bit.

I think this will be a good thing. :)

that's it. I ran out of thoughts and now Bug is going to be late for the next scheduled thing/event/day activity. I don't even know what day it is.

Pan - 11months

STILL NO TEETH and he isn't even close to walking which is ok by me. I have no idea how much he weighs or how tall he is. I know that he eats ten times more then Bugs does at this point. He can blow kisses, wave, point when you say YOOOU all evilly and also meows. Sleeps a lot better through the night and also has the occasionally 4 am party which drives me bonkers.

He is the Lord of the dance.  

I had to make pants for the poor kid because I couldn't find any that didn't have huge leg holes at the bottom. These are just one pair I have made him. he has lots. I love the knee patches that are sewn into the pant leg instead of just on top.

loves warm laundry and tries to dive on it everytime. 

he is smuggling an oreo in those cheeks. 

he is getting brave

Little booger is getting brave. he climbed the back of the couch to watch the snow fall yesterday.

 

He tried to grab the ear muffs while being on the couch, totally fell off the couch and then looked at the ear muffs like "how could you! I thought we were friends!!"

Also don't mind the ghettoness of the tape on our couch, we bought the couch thinking it would be more kid proof then the other. nope it is crumb proof, but the crappiness of the couch is shining through. for everyhole that is Pan's Eye level he sticks his tiny little fingers in it and pulls making that hole bigger and bigger. 

Black Friday.

The last few years I usually go black Friday shopping at midnight. This year however I was thankful that hey allowed sales online so i didn't have to put my pants back to to go out in public. Pants are seriously over rated. I think I just might need to shop on line more often considering I got just as good or better deals, i didn't have to elbow an 80 yr old granny in the eye to get the last of something and I didn't have a panic attack for being around so many people at once. (side note, I wouldn't elbow anyone I don't know. just in case you were wondering.)

As a family we all ended up sleeping in, eating lunch at our favorite place and then headed to JCP to possible find something that was a good enough deal to buy. I don't normally like to shop with MLH but today he was super helpful.. the words " why don't I wait in line for you while you shop and that way we don't have to wait very long." actually came out of his mouth. which followed with me saying, " ok, why don't you take the kids as well so i can cover more ground."

after "splurging" on a pair of shoes for Pan and a scarf for Bug we headed to the park for me to take photos of a family that I love so very much. MLH and I have known them for years. he met them when he was on his mission and i got introduced and took there wedding photos over 10- years ago. it was nice to reconnect and see how big the entire family has gotten.

all in all it was a good day, kids got to play. jump in leaves, sing at the top of their lungs in the car and hopefully  go bed early tonight.     *fingers crossed*
