Bug turns 5!

 

 

How did my little girl get so big so suddenly?!

 

5 things about Bug is

 

1. She is super smart, is in preschool and is already reading!

2. when you ask her to do her fabulous face she will give you this look:

 

3. She has a VERY strong opinion about what she wants to wear. Somdays all I can do is shake my head and laugh.

 

4. Has a wild imagination and comes up with the most random things to act out or turns the simplest things like a piece of paper into an entire game.

 

5. She really is my favorite little girl, stubborn like her mama, big personality, can bite you when she is grumpy and can be the sweetest girl ever.

 

these are only a few reasons why I love this girl and she is amazing and will continue to be amazing.

 

A cookie for me and a cookie for you.

It's almost time for Bug to turn 4, how that happen I really don't know. To make it special I had a long time friend who handpaints cookies whip up a dozen of them for us. These are no ordinary cookies these are tiny masterpieces that you feel bad about eating.

Bug's Birthday Party

Bug had her first all friend birthday party this last weekend. It was princess and prince themed and quite a success! I was a little slow to get the camera out but when you have 10 kids (one not pictured, she showed up a bit late and I forgot... oops) to run around and entertain it was a tad bit hard. I think Bug had a ton of fun and we were really lucky that the weather was so nice that everyone could go outside.

Bug turned 3 today, she is a princess through and through. We threw her a super fabulous princess party today.

Things about AviJae

She loves:
books, dressing up, lip gloss, bubbles, painting her nails, taking bathes, Chocolate, Mix (the cat), Baking or mixing things in the kitchen, coloring, painting, singing, dancing


My favorite things about her:
Her smart mouth, that she wants to help in the kitchen ALL the time, when she says thanks she always puts her chin to her shoulder, she thinks ever dress or long coat is a "princess". she calls anything flowing "Ariel" (most the time is just toilet paper) That devious little smile she gets when she knows she is testing me. oooh its evil.

Little Crazies:
Unfolding folded laundry and throwing it across the room, Running away in stores and laughing, saying NO to everything and then at the last minute say yes.. (huh I wonder who she gets that from... oh yea me) not keeping pajamas on because they aren't princessy enough.

Jeans and a Purse

So about 3 or so months ago i was noticing that my rear was getting a bigger larger, now before anyone says "whatever, you are so skinny" I just want to make clear that I am not complaining it was just an observation. So there I am walking around my house doing laundry and what not and I bend down to pick up a pile of laundry and "rrrrripppp" (I didn't toot, that was the sound of my pants splitting.)  I was so sad because these were one of the only pair that fit me. So I washed them and stuck them in the box under my bed with all the other jeans just waiting for the day i bring them out and make something out of them.. 

This little purse was made from those jeans for one of Bugs friends. Her name is Red and she had a birthday party a few days ago. Personally I think it turned out pretty cute.

one thing I like about kids purses made out of jean is the fact that they are very durable. 3 year old princesses can sure beat the crap out of things.

Bug was invited to go to a birthday party today and last night around 10 or so I realized I didn't have a complete present and I wasn't going to rush myself in the morning. Luckily I have a drawer FULL of random fabrics so this is what I ended up doing:

Shoulder bag/Purse with velcro closer.

 I also made a headband for her. with the same fabric I used to make the flower on the bag with.

I also filled the bag/purse with little goodies such as a water bottle (that i got from target) a princess crown, flower hair ties and also some little mermaid lip gloss. (oh how loo loves making her lips pretty) Bug had a great time, running around with balloons filling up on strawberry birthday cake and best of all playing with her friends.

For Kase

Because I'm sure she is still whining about not getting the photos from grandmas birthday... yea you heard me!!! =)

the deliciousness of La Mexicana.. oh how we love our Mexican food.

I am pretty sure the food was laced with something because we got to "THE GREAT AMERICAN MELODRAMA" and were wired. we couldn't stop laughing and someone couldn't keep there hands of my butt!..

Me and Kase, yes I realize that the photo is upside-down,  no I am not going to bother flipping it right side up. I took it this way because I realized hitting the button with my thumb was sooo much easier.

My Little Alice

Bug turned two the beginning of March so Husband and I took her to the theatre to see the new Alice in Wonderland. Not only did she get to see the movie I dressed her up like Alice. I only get to do this for a little while longer so I am taking full advantage.

The night before the movie I was busy sewing away on her little dress. Which is 2 BIG accomplishments for me 1 being I hardly ever sit and make a garment from start to finish in one night, and 2 I had NO PATTERN. I thought it was going to be alot harder then it was to construct a pattern out of my head but it turns out my head has a lot of useful info stored that I should really let out more often.

I have been trying and trying to get Bug out in the yard to take pictures of such dress but the either the weather or the child was not permitting so finally yesterday I went out and said let's do this.  This is my child that has not taken a nap, does not what to do anything other then put dirt into the tea pot and on top of it when she did look at me she either blinked or gave my goofy faces. , 15 mins later... I'm done, All I have to say is at least she's cute and I can't blame her for having some of my personality, you just gotta love her.

We're going to party like we are 1

Avi Jae celebrated her first birthday by partying with family and friends. Although not everyone could make it we had fun with the people who were there!

To make Avi's day a little more special I tried my hand at decorating her cake and also making cute cupcakes. The cake was fun to do it was my first attempt at a 2 layer and also my 3rd attempt with using fondant.

Jen got some great photos of her digging into her cupcake. I think she was more interested in putting her feet in it then actually eating it.

I hope you notice that she matches both the cupcakes and the cake... yea I did that on purpose

Avi just loves digging into presents. There were so many distracts I think it confused her a big, Luckily Red Fish was there to show her how it's done.

Aren't these the coolest shoes EVER! For who knows how long Lance's sisters and I have been talking about getting baby Converse. Avi is very lucky to have such cool shoes for the summer time.

Avi Jae is 1

You hear that times flies but you never really realize how fast until you have children and now I can say WOW " where has the time gone."

A week before Avi was born, the Nursery was FINALLY finished.

Mini Birthday Party for Avi

Since we were only in California for the total of 2.5 days. We thought it would be special for
my parents to share her first birthday with her. The morning we left we had a little birthday party. Which consisted of Me, Lance, Avi, My mom, My Dad, Keara and Jarom. Plus Present! Jarom was very helpful showing Avi how to use her presents and even giving them a few punches to help her open them .
